Ms. Salazar graduated with highest honors from Lewis University in May of 2007, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science. As an undergraduate, Ms. Salazar was recognized on the Dean's List for her academic merits each and every semester she spent at Lewis. In addition, she was a founding member and the Secretary of Lewis University's chapter of the National Political Science Honors Society, Pi Sigma Alpha.

Through her membership in this Honor Society, Ms. Salazar was able to participate in, co-author, and present a paper at the Honors Council of the Illinois Region's Annual Student Research Conference at North Central College in Naperville, Illinois on March 3, 2007, entitled: Political Cynicism, Ideology, and Party Affiliation among College Students: A Case Study of Lewis University. This paper was submitted for publication in the Pi Sigma Alpha Undergraduate Journal.

While a full-time student at Lewis, Ms. Salazar worked part-time as a sales associate for Sears, Roebuck & Co. in Joliet, Illinois, where she led the team in reaching company goals and helped train new associates. Upon graduation, Ms. Salazar was promoted and transferred to Aurora, Illinois, where she managed the Lands' End Department, recruited and trained team members, and upheld Lands' End integrity while simultaneously meeting Sears store requirements.

In August, 2007, Ms. Salazar began working at Chuck Bretz & Associates, P.C. as a legal assistant. Working primarily for Ms. O'Sullivan and focusing entirely on family law, Ms. Salazar drafted legal documents and pleadings, established an excellent rapport with clients, and consistently kept them apprised of their pending matters. She is comfortable with and skilled at working on legal issues such as divorce, post-decree divorce, child custody, and paternity.

Ms. Salazar began working again with Ms. O'Sullivan upon the opening of Erin Webster O'Sullivan, P.C. in November of 2008. She is responsible for ensuring that the daily operations of the office run smoothly, keeping clients up-to-date and fully informed of their cases, and performing the same legal assistant duties with which she previously became accustomed.
